Foursprung: Tires with low rolling resistance

green tires
Green Seal has released a report on tires with low rolling resistance.
Rolling resistance is an indicator for the energy wasted as heat between the tire and the road, within the tire sidewall itself, and between the tire and the rim while rolling down the road.

Having similar size, type, and level of performance different tires differ up to 30% in the rolling resistance. That means that a vehicle using the most efficent tires could save up to 6% of gasoline.

Recommended tire are for instance Bridgestone B381, Nokian NRT2 and Sumitomo HTR 200.
