Fuel cell: New Home Energy station

Fuel Cell Home Energy Station
Honda R&D Americas introduced the Home Energy Station III Monday, its latest step toward a viable hydrogen fueled vehicle system. Developed with fuel cell technology partner Plug Power, Inc., the third generation unit is smaller and more powerful than previous models.

The HES III is designed to supply enough hydrogen to power a fuel cell vehicle in daily operation, while providing electricity for an average-sized household. The unit is fueled by natural gas.

Testing of the new unit with the Honda FCX fuel cell vehicle is underway at Honda R&D Americas California headquarters.
