LCD: New Ferrari display by Acer

Acer Ferrari LCD

The relationship between Ferrari and Acer continues, as Acer has announced 19-inch and 20-inch LCDs officially recognized by Ferrari for the Japanese market. Expect to pay a hefty penny for either model, as only 1,000 of each will only be produced. The F-19 is the 19-inch model with SXGA (1280 x 1024) resolution, brightness of 400cd/m2, 500:1 contrast ratio, and response speed of 8ms (grey-to-grey, as is the Japanese tradition). It also features integrated 2W stereo speakers. A 20-inch widescreen model is available with the F-20, which sports WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) resolution, 300cd/m2 brightness, and a 800:1 contrast ratio. The speakers on this model are also kicked up to 5W each (watch out, that wattage has been known to blow people’s clothes off). The F-19 is expected to go for around $551 USD, and the F-20 for around $763 USD.
