Foursprung: New flameless flare
Autoblog reports on a new gadget that brings you more safety on the road:
"The Keystone Group has developed a new flare for roadside safety kits. Called the FlareAlert, it is a battery-operated flare whose light can been seen for miles from the ground or the air.
Conventional flares burn toxic chemicals at temperatures of 5,000 degrees, often leaving scorch marks. FlareAlert uses two AA-sized batteries that can last twenty hours in a flash mode and six to ten hours in ‘steady-on’ mode.
FlareAlert has been available police and fire departments for years; this is the first time it is being marketed to the public."
