Navigation: Honda providing new online services in Japan

Honda Inter Navi
Honda's Inter Navi Premium System has now 300.000 customers since it's start in October 2002.

From February 2006 Honda pushes the concept a bit further by starting some new online services. In collaboration with the phone operator Willcom, the navigation system can have unlimited internet access for 8 EUR per month and access 11 online services, like for example the weather forecast, traffic estimations per hour, the fastest lane when driving on a 2 or 3-lane road, a warning system that gives you the best time to leave and reach your destination in time, a personalised web page with information, a parking system that gives you the best option taking your destination into account, ... and the system even sends your car data to Honda for a technical follow-up and possible repairs.

Service quality is assured by use of "floating car data" based on a total of 75 million km already driven by Inter Navi Premium club members.

It also incorporates a communication system with Honda's 24/7 emergency centre.
