Foursprung: Hella's high tech tail lights for aftermarket

Hella CELIS LED
Hella Inc. 's innovative CELIS (r) (Central Lighting Systems) and LED technology will be available in automotive aftermarket.
The CELIS(R) LED rear lamps, originally designed for new-model luxury cars, use light strips with acrylic light guides to
produce brilliant light strips or rings. The system brings several advantages including a stylized appearance, added safety, substantially longer life and lower power usage than traditional incandescent lights. LED lights come on quicker and brighter than traditional lamps, giving drivers behind you an extra margin of warning that you are stopping or slowing.

Aftermarket kits -- featuring two tail lamps and the CHMSL (center-high mount stop lamp) -- initially will be available for 2003 and later models of the Chevrolet Silverado and 2004 and later models of the Ford F-150 pickup truck. Kits for other models will be available later in 2006 and shall be installable by the consumer himself. Prices start at $400.
