GPS: The 200-EUR-device

200 EUR GPS

Navigation becomes cheaper and cheaper. If you don't need any multimedia features it now starts at EUR 200.

Meet the PVST-SPN350 Phillar Vision Navigator, an inauspicious device that gets rolling with a 276MHz processor, 32MB of ROM, 64MB of RAM, a 3.5-inch screen (320 x 240), and an SD/MMC card slot. Apparently it doesn't come with the ability to play audio and video files (you gotta pay extra for that), which may be part of the reason that the Vision Navigator appeals to the spendthrift set; the whole unit will set you back a pair of Baroque bridges (that's €200, or $256).
